Well today is the anniversary of the day I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, not really a happy anniversary and one I wish I could forget.
On this day in 2016 I had actually gone for a biopsy and was not really expecting to be told I had cancer but I was. The doctor said they could tell from the different scans that I had had that I had cancer.
Barbara and I were both in shock and didn’t really know what to do. Like a lot of people I suppose, we were lost, we had so many questions and so much to learn about cancer and what it involved.
Two years on and of course the cancer is still there despite the following treatments.
Hormone Therapy
Chemotherapy
Enzalutimide
Radiotherapy
And now Immunotherapy
I try to stay positive and have faith that the immunotherapy is working.
It’s been a rough ride so far but I hoping for a smoother future.
It’s not easy for Barbara either and I can’t thank her enough for her love and support.
Hang in there Phil and never give up.
